35 Tips to Furnish Your New Home for Less
Buying a new home is one of the most exciting experiences in life. And if you’re like most homebuyers, you’ll be planning your furniture placement and decor before the ink dries on your offer...
My interest in houses began early in my life. My father was a builder of custom homes and my mother was one of the first woman realtors, beginning her career in 1957 in our hometown in Northern Illinois. My college bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University is in Interior Design and Architecture. I worked in contract and residential interior design as an ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) professional for twenty years in the Chicago, Illinois area. I joined my family's REMAX real estate business as a licensed agent in 1994. Transferring to Texas in 1997 has given me "hands on" experience on moving a family across country. I worked as an assistant for a "top producing" realtor while earning my Texas license and then joined up with Keller Williams in May 1999.
Throughout the years of continuing real estate education, I have attained the ABR - Accredited Buyer's Agent; CRS - Certified Residential Specialist; GRI - Graduate of Real Institute and SRES- Senior Real Estate Specialist designations. I have been selected as one of D Magazine's BEST Real Estate Agents in Dallas. I served on the Agent Leadership Council and was consistently in the "Top 10" in the McKinney Keller Williams office.
In 2012, I joined Private Label Realty where I was consistently in the top 10% in production. JP & Associates Realtors acquired Private Label in 2017 and I continue to work with many Sellers and Buyers "Exceeding their Expectations".
In staging my client’s homes in preparation to putting the homes on the market, I practice Feng Shui design for selling Real Estate which gives homes the "Positive" Energy that appeals to Buyers!
